Another well-known living Hopi potter, Lawrence Namoki lives with his family at the base of First Mesa. This vase, named by Lawrence "Anasazi I" has both carved and painted motifs inspired by those left by his ancestors on cliff walls throughout the Southwest. Lawrence also carves kachina dolls.
