Pottery

We believe Pueblo pottery is most beautifully displayed standing on its own. This allows full attention to the pottery's shape and design. However, dried arrangements can be placed in the pottery without a damaging effect. Southwest Indian pottery should not be used as a planter or fresh flower vase unless a glass insert is used. Failure to use such a liner will result in moisture seeping through the pot causing the design to deteriorate and the surface to blister. Dust with a clean, soft cloth and avoid using any polish or cleaner which will destroy the surface of the pottery. To prevent the pot from scratching the furniture it is sitting on, place the pot on a piece of felt. This will also protect the potter's signature on the bottom of the pot. The monetary value of the pot is significantly influenced by the potter's signature.
